Book review

I am reviewing Hugo the Starfish The Last Bully. This is a wonderful book that teaches kids about bullying and why it is wrong. i have done research and the whole Hugo series seems very inspirational. 6 weeks pregnant

OK so im a few days late I am now 6 weeks 3 days pregnant. My morning sickness isn't acting up as bad I have been able to eat the past 3 days which is great. I was cramping really bad and so i went to the hospital and the doctor and my progesterone levels were really low (normal at this point should be 12-20 mine was 5.5) and that's not good so I have to take progesterone pills now and I go back for a recheck tomorrow to see if they are working. Hopefully they are this little peanut needs to stay. I got to see the little peanut and his/her heart beating. It is so little and cute. I go for my first actual ultrasound at the dr office on August 8. I can't wait. No cravings really yet, but I can stand spicy things I can't normally handle and I am loving cheese. The girls are getting excited already and love kissing my belly and telling the baby hi. It is too cute. Also I am getting a little belly already lol.

2013 Back to School Sales Tax Holidays

With Back to school quickly approaching the sales will be starting and we will all be buying school supplies. Here is a list of the sales tax holidays states will be having to celebrate the back to school shopping.



July 26-27 Mississippi-Purchases of clothing and footwear less than $100 per item exempt.
Aug 2-4 Alabama-Purchases of computers (single purchase up to $750), clothing (up to $100 per item), school supplies ($50 per item) and books ($30 per item) exempt
Aug 3-4 Arkansas-Purchases of clothing and footwear less than $100 per item, clothing accessories less than $50 per item and school supplies are exempt.
August 18-24.Connecticut: Purchases of clothing and footwear less than $300 per item exempt.
August 2-4.Florida: Purchases of clothing ($75 per item) and school supplies ($15 per item) exempt. Florida added purchases of computers and computer accessories that are $750 or less per item to its list of exempt items this year.
August 9-10.Georgia: Purchases of clothing ($100 per item), computers and related accessories (single purchases up to $1,000) and school supplies ($20 per item) exempt.
August 2-3 Iowa:. Purchases of clothing and footwear less than $100 per item exempt.
August 2-3.Louisiana: The exemption applies to the first $2,500 of the purchase price of most individual items.
August 11-17.Maryland Purchases of clothing and footwear $100 or less per item exempt.

Review of Your Daily Bible Verse EBook

I really enjoyed the Daily Bible Verse EBook. it was easy to buy and download. It has many formats for reading online, Kindle, Ipad, PDF, and more. You can click on the month and go directly to that month and then look for the date and read that days Bible verse. It really gives me inspiration for the day. 4th of July crafts from Bella

Today has been rainy and so we did a little learning with colors and doing patriotic  crafts today for the 4th of July. To top off the day I think I will now try to make some red,white, and blue spaghetti. Let's see how that turns out. Here are the crafts Bella made:

Finger print flag

paint a pointer finger blue and print the blue box. Wash off and paint red. Print the red stripes. Wash off and paint white. Print the white stripes and the stars.

Hand print flags

On the side of the hand away from the thumb paint it blue.  Paint red and white stripes on the fingers and hands. Press down the the paper. Paint a white star on the blue part. Repeat with other hand.

hand print fireworks

Trace your child's hands on blue and red paper or other colors if you choose. Cut them out and place on the paper to lok like fireworks. Decorate with glitter/glitter glue.

Liberty hat

Cut a green strip of paper or foam long enough to go around your childs head. Tape/glue/staple the ends together to create the hat. Cut triangles out of the paper/foam and place them around the top of the hat with tape/glue/staples. Decorate as you like.

Bella had a lot of fun doing these crafts. These ideas all came from Pinterest and were pretty easy. They are made for preschool/toddlers and up. Adult help is needed
